Current Unified Planning and Work Program
The Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) identifies in a single document the annual transportation planning activities that are to be undertaken in the Wichita Falls Metropolitan Area in support of the goals, objectives and actions established in the Long-Range Transportation Plan. This is a large document.
This document was mandated by FHWA. It was developed by the WFMPO for the local area using guidelines established in Texas Metropolitan Mobility Plans (TMMP) created by the 8 largest MPOs within the state (TMA MPOs).
Current Transportation and Improvement Program
The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is the metropolitan area program of projects and project segments to be implemented within each three-year period after adoption of the program. The program includes a financial plan that demonstrates how the program can be implemented.
